With an uncanny ability to connect on a deeply human level, INUULICARE\u2019s circle of mental health specialists have crafted a safe space to \u201cland\u201d for Emergency Response Teams and frontline workers following personal and community crises; a safe space where every story is heard, every struggle is acknowledged, and every triumph is celebrated.<\/p>\n

Awarded a Master\u2019s of Education with a specialization in Trauma Management from McGill University in 1993, Lissa received her first call in 1999 to perform post-traumatic debriefings for Emergency Response teams in Ouje-Bougamou and Kangiqsualujjuaq. Her impactful work along the coast soon caught the attention of the Inuulitsivik Health Center, and for the next eight years, she traveled along the Hudson coast, providing post-traumatic debriefings and supportive counseling sessions to CLSC employees and, occasionally, the Kativik Regional Police Force. Her dedication and perseverance were rewarded in 2008 when she was given the privilege of creating the first on-site Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in Nunavik.<\/p>\n

Over the years, INUULICARE has offered thousands of on-site trauma debriefings and countless hours of supportive counseling sessions to frontline workers and emergency response teams on both the Hudson and Ungava coasts. We are now the leading provider of Employee Assistance Programs in Nunavik and continue to be the only on-site resource dedicated to providing culturally relevant support and comprehensive mental health services tailored to the unique needs of the region’s dedicated frontline workers and their families.<\/p>\n

Introducing Innulicare<\/h1>\n

Your Employee and Family Assistance Program is made up of a carefully curated circle of mental health specialists who are heart and soul behind Inuulicare. These mental health counsellors have dedicated their life to the wellbeing of frontline workers and emergency response teams in Nunavik, the James Bay, the Inuu, the Miq\u2019maq and to other First Nations People.
