Our services are delivered primarily through our dedicated Program Director, who also acts as a referral agent to various external providers. When you call the EAP line, you will not need to leave a message on a voicemail system. First and foremost, know that when an Inuulicare counselor is in your community, they are available to you the entire time they are there. To schedule an individual in-office session, simply reach out to your counselor via FB Messenger or email.
If your preferred EFAP counselor is currently in a different community or in Montreal, you can still connect with them through FB Messenger, the Nunavik Emergency Response Teams FB Page, or by sending him\/her a confidential email to info@inuulicare.com.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Finding the right \u201cfit\u201d is fundamental to creating a successful client-therapist relationship, therefore we encourage you to reach out directly to the counsellor that you feel is the right \u201cfit\u201d for you. When your EFAP counselor is in your community, you may meet with them as often as needed. After they leave, the number of sessions available to you depends on the EFAP benefits selected by your employer. You may be entitled to anywhere from 5 to 10 sessions, while some organizations even offer an unlimited number of sessions. For precise information, please check with your EFAP counselor or your HR Director.<\/p>

Must I Request Permission from my Supervisor Before Contacting the EAP?<\/strong>
Permission is not required from your supervisor. You may contact the EAP directly without going through any other channels.<\/p>

Can Someone Else Open an EAP File for Me?<\/strong>
You are the only one permitted to open an EAP file in your name. However, should you require emotional support and encouragement to do so, you may ask that a friend, co-worker or supervisor make the initial call to the EAP, in order for you to speak with the Program Director personally.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Sessions with your counsellor are 100% confidential. Unless agreed upon by all parties, your employer will not be informed of your request and all information divulged in session is kept in complete confidentiality. Exceptions to this rule applies in the case of high risk suicidality and high risk of harm to others. In such cases, the counsellor is held by their professional ethics to refer his\/her client to local resources for immediate support.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
